Cork dominate All Star selection - Sunday, November 08, 2009
All-Ireland Champions Cork dominate the Camogie All Star selection with Gemma O'Connor getting honoured for an unprecedented sixth successive time.
Five players receive an All Star award for the first time, while six members of the 2009 All-Ireland winning Cork team receive the accolade.
It was a special evening for Gemma O'Connor - currently on army duty in Chad - who was rewarded with an unprecedented sixth consecutive All Star.
O'Connor's versatility is highlighted by the fact she has won awards in three different areas of the pitch. The St Finbarr's player was represented by her mother Geraldine.
O'Connor is joined by goalkeeper Aoife Murray, full back Cathriona Foley, centre back Mary O'Connor, midfielder Briege Corkery as well as top scorer in the Championship Rachel Moloney, who are all taking home their third awards.

Rebel's edge Dublin - Sunday, September 27, 2009
The Brendan Martin Cup is resting on the Banks of the Lee for the fifth year in a row, but only after a slender one-point victory for Cork in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football Final at Croke Park.
First-time title chasers Dublin really pushed the Rebelettes to the pin of their collars in this game, played in front of an attendance of 21,606 at GAA Headquarters.
The experience and guile of Eamon Ryan's charges stood to them, as his Cork charges played down the clock with a string of handpasses in the closing stages to ensure they took victory and a historic five-in-a-row of All-Ireland titles.

Rebelettes unchanged - Friday, September 25, 2009
Cork manager Eamonn Ryan has kept faith with the same starting XV that defeated Mayo in the semi-final for Sunday's TG4 All-Ireland ladies football final against Dublin at Croke Park.
The team features 12 of the side that overcame Monaghan in last year's decider, with defenders Rena Buckley and Ciara O'Sullivan, and attacker Rhona Buckley the new faces.
The Rebelettes are raging 1/11 favourites to complete the five-in-a-row at the expense of Dublin, who are 6/1 outsiders.
Cork (Ladies SF v Dublin): E Harte; Rena Buckley, A Walsh, G O'Flynn; B Corkery, B Stack, C O'Sullivan; J Murphy, N Kelly; N Cleary, D O'Reilly, A O'Shea; M O'Connor (captain), V Mulcahy, Rhona Buckley.

Kerry derail Rebels' crusade - Sunday, September 20, 2009
An outstanding display from Kerry has denied their neighbours Cork from collecting this year's Sam Maguire crown, as they put the Rebels to the sword this afternoon at Croke Park on All-Ireland final day.
The Kingdom had had their doubters throughout this season's campaign, but when all was said and done they had four points to spare over Conor Counihan's team, who were widely expected to end their 19-year wait for All-Ireland success after seeing off former champions Tyrone last month.
However, Kerry tore up the script at GAA headquarters here and mixed experience with class to stun their rivals and reclaim their status as the best team in the country.

Counihan names unchanged team - Wednesday, September 16, 2009
Cork manager Conor Counihan has named an unchanged starting line-up for this Sunday's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final against Kerry, with rising star Ciaran Sheehan failing to make the 30-man matchday squad.
Although there have been doubts over the availability of defender Ray Carey because of a shoulder injury, the Clyda Rovers clubman has been given the all clear to start this weekend - meaning that there is no place for dual star Eoin Cadogan.
A total of 14 clubs are represented in Cork's final side, with Ballincollig the only side supplying two players - John Miskella at left half back and Paddy Kelly at left half-forward.
